I am all for comfort in the summer time and that is exactly what I did with these lovely black and white stripe pants.

How to Wear - Palazzo Pants (My Summer Obesession)

Hello My Fierce Reader,
Today I bring you a styling post on Palazzo Pants. I have been thinking about creating a signature style for myself. I have never really been the type to buy lots of trendy clothing items, instead I tend to pick out items that will make classic pieces in my closet. So last summer, after styling my first palazzo pants and visiting several blogs; I think I might have found one item that's here to stay a classic piece in my closet.

I find that these type of pants elongates my legs since I'm a petite girl. And I feel like I gain more confidence when I walk into the room. You've ever seen those fashion movies where the boss walks into the office or directs a meeting wearing a sleek looking palazzo pants and a blazer???

So I created FOUR looks inspired by some of the Palazzo pants I'm looking forward to styling this summer.

ENJOY!!!

What I'm Loving this weekend

Hello My Fierce Reader,
Today I'm sharing four looks I totally adore on a blogger/celebrities this weekend. I hope you all enjoy.

The first look is by the very stylish woman Olivia Palermo who got married this weekend
I'm a sucker for mesh and though, I cannot see the whole ensemble;
I love the details on the skirt.

This second look is by a Nigerian Female Singer- Tiwa Savage
who was invited to the BET show this weekend.
I love the whole ensemble and I would totally wear it if the waist was cinched in a little more.

One of my favorite blogger at the moment is Stella of STELLA-JADORE
I shared a look inspired by her HERE
I thought this pineapple print dress look gorgeous on her.

My very Favorite is this look KeKe Palmer rocked to the BET awards Pre-dinner this weekend
I think tapered pant suit are so chic and popular this season
and Keke wore it well.

5 Things You Need This Summer

Hello my Fierce Readers,

When we talk about style and fashion, we have to remember that it includes other things that goes on behind the scenes (I'll explain what I mean), whether that's comfort or sanitary wise. When you wear clothes, your undergarments are just as important in adding confidence to your overall look. The same concept goes for the shoes that we wear.

Today I will be sharing with you what I think every girl or woman should have in her closet. As you can see in the title, I have selected 5 items I find extremely important for me as I style trendy pieces this season.
SO HERE WE GO.....

1. BRALETTE: I personally hate bras everyday of the year because of how uncomfortable it could be throughout the day especially in the summer. Last summer, i discovered these bra things, I would refer to as a bralette. They are basically padded bandeau shaped like a bra without the under wire. I find it to be supper comfortable and they should work for people with a bigger cup size as well. They are also stylishly made so you can wear them like the crop top style in trend....if you are comfortable.

2. SEAMLESS PANTIES: If you don't already know, I think every girl/woman should own a few pair of these. Now I didn't find out about these until late last year when I was looking for the right underwear for a sheer dress I got. These panties basically do not have seams on the edges, so it gets rid of lines appearing under your skirts, pants or fitted dresses. I believe these are available at Target, Forever 21, H&M and I'm sure Victoria Secret sells them too.

3. BACKLESS STICKY BRA: Wherever panties are mentioned, bras should be mentioned too because they go hand in hand. Anyways, everyone is in love with the backless tops and dresses trend from red carpet dresses to everyday clothing pieces. So if you are not already aware, you need these sticky bra situation in your underwear collection if you will be wearing backless pieces of clothing this summer. Again these should be available at any store that sells underwear.

I also like that they come in different shapes to fit different preferences. I have seen some regular looking ones, some padded for extra volume or support, some low cuts and some bodysuit shaped ones.

4. BALL OF FOOT CUSHION: Single sole strappy sandals are in trend this summer and because some of these sandals make your feet arch so high, you may need a ball of feet cushion to help reduce the stress on your feet. This also makes you wear the shoes longer with a bit more comfort. I believe Dr Scholls is well known for making a product like this.

5. DISINFECTING WIPES: I know this is not considered a beauty product but I could be a germaphobe sometimes especially when it starts to get hot and sweaty. I use these wipes to clean the inside of my shoes when i take them off. It generally takes away the dirt marks and some sweat marks from wearing your shoes all day. I also suggest having a good ole hand sanitizer in your purse....just to be sanitary conscious.

I hope you all enjoyed this post
Until next time (I'll be out of school in a few weeks then I should be back to consistent blogging)

Rich Neutrals

Hello My Fierce Readers,
I find myself reaching for these nude sandals I purchased from a discount store, for $7. They are originally from Forever 21 and also extremely comfortable to walk or stand in for hours. With that being said, I've been seeing a lot of all white and neutral looks for the spring. So I decided to draw some inspiration from many pictures I see on Instagram everyday and re-create my own look.

This particular look is inspired by Stella of Jadore-fashion. View her blog HERE. Her classic style is to die for and I admire her style a lot.

On this blog post, I styled a sequin lace skirt my mom made me years ago with a plain white shirt, nude sandals, faux croc print clutch and a pop of cobalt blue necklace. I mentioned in my first blog post at the beginning of the year, that I'm playing around with how I style what I already have in my closet, by mixing and matching different textures to create a simple unified look.

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Blouse and Shoes: Forever 21
Skirt: Handmade
Necklace: H&M
Clutch: Discount store

Here is a picture of how Stella wore her lace skirt
Lately, I've actually been seeing these lace skirt trends everywhere

I definitely look like a mother holding my lil Nephew
He just started walking, so he's all over the place once he sees an open space
And he is totally spring appropriate in his native baby blue outfit tehee.

Hello My Fierce Reader,

Today I'm sharing with you what I wore to church few Sundays back. I ABSOLUTELY love being a short girl (I wouldn't trade it for anything) because I get to do so much with my looks.
Like any other short girl out there, I love buying stilettos to create more height
*Although, I am currently enjoying the classic pump trend*.
I also love this new big hairstyle I'm gravitating towards
These curls especially makes me feel spring ready.

I really love this look because I decided to ditch spring pastels
and jump right into summer brights.
I hope you all Enjoy.

I took a quick snap with my stylish friend! Hey Friend! :)

RED AND SEXY

Hello Readers,

Now that I am finally coming to accept my body the way it is (Don't we all struggle with that at some point in our lives), I have decided to invest in pieces that flatters my petite body and gives me a classic grown look at the same time.

I turned 21 about two weeks ago (YAY!) and I decided to wear this beautiful red dress I got as a Christmas gift. I have always had a thing for the color RED but I don't really refer to it as my favorite color. I just love the way the color looks on my skin tone. I wore this dress to dinner during my spring break in Palm Springs, CA. I had loads of fun like I haven't in a long time. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.

*P.S They were taken very late at night and I didn't realize I did not change the camera settings- Sorry!*

OUTFIT:

Coat: Gift

Colors of Lupita Nyong'o

Hello My fierce readers,

February should not be the only month we celebrate our different shades of black. I am so happy for this young woman whose name has been circulating the media for the past three months or so- Lupita Nyong'o. Born in Mexico, raised in Kenya, this beauty has won many awards on her supporting role in 12 years a slave. I remember the first post I read about her last year as she was referred as "Hollywood's New It Girl". I was in awe at her chocolate brown skin and how beautiful she looked in a bright yellow dress.

After watching many of her interviews, I believe, it's God's true blessing to have blessed her the way he did this past few months. I also believe that when it's truly time for you to shine, NOTHING absolutely NOTHING will hold that back from happening. Its nice to see a beautiful brown girl be an aspiration to many young girls of color, making them believe that they are beautiful just the way they are. And this is no different for someone like me who is a little on the medium shade side but still feels insecure about my skintone sometimes.

Most importantly, Lupita just shows a young woman who pursued her dreams from childhood and God blessed her when the time was appropriate. She seem very humble and honored for how much she has been blessed and that's all that matters.

Below I shared some of the looks Lupita has rocked on the red carpet this past few months. I hope you all enjoy (P.S her stylist and glam squad is doing an amazing job in styling her from head to toe. everything looks super Yummy on her). Enjoy

The GOLDS, BRONZE and NUDES

The BLUES

The BLACKS

The COLORS

The MAXIS

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WHOEVER MADE UP THE RULE THAT WOMEN OF COLOR COULD ONLY WEAR CERTAIN COLORS.....LIED!
LOOK HOW GORGEOUS ALL THE DIFFERENT SHADES OF COLORS LOOK ON HER SKIN TONE....SIGH!
