A casual sunday- Black, white and Neon

Hello Readers,
I promised to have better pictures the next time I have a post up. I hope I fulfilled that. My photographer (my sister) is beginning to get tired of me always wanting to take pictures :(
Today I want to share with you a short story about myself that can well apply to anyone out there. I start this blog post with a picture of my back turned because I want to center an idea around the fact that when we have our backs turned to the world people judge us and make assumptions about our well- being. People hate you because of what they see yet they don't know what you battle with behind closed doors. We all judge people to a certain extend but with the things that I continue to experience in life, I am slowly learning to reduce how I might quickly judge the person next to me.
So what do I do to sometime keep myself going in the midst of the crazy things that happen in life, I love to dress up. The mornings I wake up with 0 to negative strength (due to a medical condition), I cry to God acknowledging my physical weakness and trust that he will carry me on his wings to get all that I need to get done for the day. Sunday's are one of my Favorite day of the week and I showcase strength and joy in the way that I present myself through dressing up. Though I attend a small fellowship gathering on campus, I'm always sure I make myself look as presentable as I can most days.
People ask me why I dress the way I do sometimes even during the week, not to say there aren't other students who dress way nicer than I do...BUT I hope you get the point.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS FIND SOMETHING YOU LOVE TO DO TO SHOWCASE THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING THANKFUL FOR HAVING ONE MORE DAY TO CARRY ON WHATEVER BURDEN YOU CARRY. AND IF YOU'RE NOT A BELIEVER, KNOW SOMEWHERE IN YOUR HEART THAT THERE IS SOMEONE WHO TRULY CARES FOR YOU NO MATTER WHAT- AND THAT'S GOD

I hope you all enjoy the photos and that berry looking Lipstick by wet n wild is my current fav right now. It instantly changes the look of my face. Thank you all!

If any of my readers have any suggestions on what they might like to see on the blog
I'm really trying to get more views on the blog, so I'm open to suggestions
Have a blessed week

In My Closet- Pointed Toe heels and MORE

Hello Readers,
Today, I will be sharing some items (Shoes) I bought the past 3 months. In everything fashion, my favorite thing to buy are shoes. I don't know what it is about shoes. I have just always had a fascination about high heels and whatnot from a very young age and I hope to design my own collection one day like June Ambrose did. If you haven't seen it, check it out HERE. Amazing colors and structures of shoes.

The focus today are really on the pointed toe heels which are back in style for the season and I have just being stalking these things everywhere. Two of them are a gift because that how much I won't stop talking about them. I also love the comfort you get from the heel height and the classiness it automatically adds to any look. TRY IT AND PROVE ME WRONG!

I'll list the info about the shoes below and I hope everyone has been having a great week.
PLEASE EXCUSE THE LIGHTING! but enjoy

On the left- STEVE MADDEN INTRUDE in hot pink.
In the middle- DELICIOUS rose gold cap toe in leopard.

Style Post- Spring Trend 2013 (4 Ways to wear your Sweatshirt)

Hello all,
It has been a while but I hope everyone is well. Today, I wanna share 4 ways to wear a sweatshirt. Sweatshirts were really popular on the runway this spring and was also seen on a lot on bloggers and fashionistas who attended Fashion week. Check out some more amazing way to style Sweatshirts HERE.

You will usually not find me wearing a sweatshirt except for warmth in the winter (I'm a coat kinda girl), but we designed this sweat for board members of one of my organizations at school. I hope you enjoy  the 4 ways I styled the sweatshirt and stay hydrated as the weather warms up.

This fit, I thought was very Beyonce and Rihanna- esq. But I love these harem pants and I have been obsessed with this Royal blue pumps by Rock and Republic. Necklace: Topshop, Sunglasses: Ebay

I decided to throw on some girly girl lace skirt and an Afro puff for Funk. Every Fashionista knows they say when you wear nude shoes closer to your skintone, it elongates your legs...Peep those legs lol. Skirt: boutique, Pumps:old from amiclubwear, Gold clutch: Target (Limited)

Rock chic center. For this look  I wore the same skirt with some black knee high socks and these amazing Jefferey Campbell lace up boots. Also try making an effortless look with a boyfriend shirt underneath the sweatshirt and throw on a pastel color beanie for a spring effect.

Last But not the least. I wanted to try mixing prints here. These acid wash jeans compliments the leopard booties. For this look, I brought that Afrocentric look back with the wooden earrings and turban and a pop of color with the clutch for a spring effect.

I hope you all enjoyed these looks
Which one is your favorite let me know
or how would you style your sweatshirt?

Style Post- Watch that red

Hello Readers,
Today, I will be sharing one of the jackets I showed in my WINTER WONDER post HERE. I got this as a gift for my birthday last year and decided to pull it out this month, since this is the month of LOVE. I love the richness of the color Red and whoever got it for me know's my obsession with pieces of clothing with the color red, but red is not quite my favorite color (If you ask me I say I don't have a favorite color). I just have a pure love for RED). I am on the hunt for something like this in a Biege/camel color *Hint Hint lol* because it keep me so warm with this crazy CA weather.

Anyways enough Ranting. I paired this Red coat with this acid wash type blue jeans from forever 21 and my favorite Clogs (very comfy) with a bare face. Enjoy!!!

Outfit:
Coat: Gift( can be found on ebay)
Jeans: Forever 21 (few years ago)
Purse: (DD's discount...years ago)
Clogs: Target (last summer)
I hope you all have a blessed week

Its the month of love....What are you wearing

Hello readers,
Today I will be sharing some outfit inspiration for valentine's day. You don't necessarily need to wait for valentine's day to wear this and I was sure to make dressy outfits for an everyday look and  casual fits as well. I have always wondered what it might feel like to go on a date night dressed up and all but God knows that day will be here soon. So I let my imagination run wide with these outfit creation. Enjoy!!!

This one is my personal favorite (classy dinner date). At least something I picture myself wearing and can pull off something close to it right outta my closet. The red pump adds some fierceness.

This one I think is soo soo classy for dinner or any special occasion with boyfriend/hubby. You can never go wrong with a white/cream dress for elegance and a touch of these neon pink classic pumps. Gotta add the Faux Fur for that Classy touch.

This one I think is very casual yet sophisticated (for movies with the boyfriend or picnic at the park). this can also be worn by anyone on a regular day. The texture and color of the skirt will always give you that girly/flirty look.

Last but not the least for my girls who loves a pair of jeans and blazer (to dinner or just to take romantic walk with boyfriend/hubby). Printed jeans is popular right now, so here you have it with a peplum lace top for sexiness and a bright colored blazer or toned down with this amazing camel tone blazer and a pop of these green heels or flats.

BURGUNDIZE your look In 3 WAYS

Hello readers,
I hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend. Today I'm going to share three ways to wear a Burgundy leggings/pants. Burgundy is a huge fashion trend for Fall/Winter 2013 and I absolutely love the richness of the red. Here are three ways I styled these leggings I found on Ebay for a casual relaxed look, semi-casual and Dressy. Enjoy!

LOOK 1: CASUAL
I paired these leggings with a button up blouse, a basic black cardigan and a nude scarf over it for warmth. My leopard print loafers put completeness to the whole look.

LOOK 2: SEMI-CASUAL
I wore this look to my friend's birthday dinner last year. These are Burgundy jeggings which I've owned for years and tend to wear a lot when it get a little chilly in Ca. Here I paired with a 3/4 sweater from h&m, my leopard wedge booties and a quilted purse for completeness.

LOOK 3: DRESSY
This look I shared about a week ago. I paired the Burgundy leggings with a long sleeve peplum blouse and a mirrored Gold belt for completeness. I opted for my baby blue clutch for a touch of bright color and the leopard booties again.
